The Turn Hole

Turn Hole  Here the river makes a dramatic 4,500 foot loop that almost encompasses 180 degrees.
This "Turn Hole" is the last of a series of loops that define the lower part of Birch River. The river exits this hole of water and heads toward the mouth of Birch eddy and its meeting with the Elk River at Glendon.
