| The
West Virginia Wildwater Association schedules periodic trips on Birch River and
one such trip was held on Good Friday, April 13, 2001. Water conditions were
excellent and the weather was warm and sunny for the ten kayakers who made the
run from the Cora Brown Brown Bridge in Nicholas County to Herold in Braxton
County. The ten kayakers were Barney Lilly, Justin Simmons, Joe Simmons, Amy
Sindler, Petv Sindler, John Tingley, Joe Carney. Dave Hunt, John Casto and Phil
