The Abner

The Abner  According to local legend, a man named Abner drowned there while helping run logs down Birch River. This is believed to have happened somewhere between 1880 and 1910 but no further details are known about this unfortunate mystery man. This hole of water is located in one of the rockiest and most isolated areas of the river. This area can be seen from the air in the aerial video clip link.
